We can celebrate our freedom of spirit by making the choice to love, create, express and live beyond condition in every moment. Our freedom of spirit inspires us to break out of our comfort zone, to make discerning choices and to expand beyond our perceived limits. As we celebrate this weekend, we are honoring our own independent spirit that knows no boundaries, sees no limits, and guides us to listen to and follow our hearts.
Having recently been in Egypt, I witnessed the freedom of the human spirit where millions of people had just come together to peacefully protest the policies of an extremist government. Despite limited media access, resources, and organization, they found a way to express themselves through social media and the internet and begin a country-wide movement. Like the Egyptian people, we too can be inspired to move beyond the obstacles in our own lives. Yet, we often let financial, health or relationship issues keep us from fulfilling our dreams, letting our spirits soar or simply choosing differently.
Celebrating the freedom of spirit is stepping outside the box, knowing that the power to banish boundaries and expand limits is yours. Know that your future possibilities are limitless. Let go of fear and trust yourself to make inspiring choices that allow you to fully express your heart’s desires. Embark upon a new journey of being by taking a class, looking for new employment, changing a relationship or expanding your horizons through new experiences.
Our present-future is a blank slate upon which we can inscribe our unique imprint with an unlimited palette of choices. When we banish these self-imposed and arbitrary barriers, we begin to see that there is nothing we cannot create, express or experience. As light beings in an “in-body” experience, we can discover a newfound awareness of how limitless we truly are. With this sense of spiritual freedom, we can affirm that we have always had the potential to realize the fullest extent of our wonder and imagination.
