The Difference Between Falling in Love and Flowing in Love
When we fall in love, we get a glimpse of our lover’s soul. When we flow in love, all impediments fall away, and their soul is all we see. To fall in love is magical; to flow in love is mystical. When we flow in love with a beloved other, we engage in the ultimate dance of soul-hearted partnership, sharing our joy, passion, and exuberance for life. The unceasing flow of love that we exude affects how we wake up in the morning, carry ourselves, handle disappointment, give and receive love, and sustain our soul connection.Flowing in love with someone takes a harmonious balance of giving and receiving love without expectations or conditions. … [Read more...]

Holding the Space of Love Dissolves Negativity
“Your entire life has unfolded for your heart's ascension to love.” ~ Bryant McGillTo facilitate a shift in our current consciousness, we must transcend fear, anger, and negativity, and ascend to the soul of love. We can do this by learning how to avoid reacting from these emotions, and instead connect to a higher power or divine source (whatever that means to us) through our hearts.Like a periscope in a submarine, we must lift our gaze out of the shadowy aspects of human consciousness and obtain a more elevated, spiritual perspective. We must be clear that we are, first and foremost, spiritual beings navigating the sea of human processes, … [Read more...]
5 Ways to Invite in Love and Connection
“You have to love yourself because no amount of love from others is enough to fill the yearning that your soul requires from you.” — DodinskyInviting love into our being allows us to experience our sacred connection to others and to humanity as a whole. When we are born, we temporarily forget our divine magnificence; consequently, we spend much of our lives trying to remember who we are. Before we uncover that remembrance, we spend much of our time and energy seeking out the inner connection which we crave on a soul level without even really understanding why. In other words, even before we remember what love really is, and where it comes … [Read more...]
Being Vulnerable Opens Us to Being Love
“One word frees us of all the weight and pain of life; the word is love.”—SophoclesThe more we lean into our vulnerabilities, the more open we become to love. The areas of our lives in which we feel most vulnerable are health, relationships, and finances. Whether or not we had a healthy and loving childhood, we all experience some form of emotional pain as a reflection of the human condition. Blessing and Releasing: A Mantra for Letting Go
“The cure for pain is in the pain.” RumiHere I was walking the beach in Antigua surrounded by such natural beauty, a cherished and connected relationship with my husband and a life that I only imagined in my dreams; yet, I was unraveling, falling apart, and disintegrating into little pieces like the grains of sand I walked upon. For weeks since my beloved dog Cammi’s death, I felt fragile and vulnerable as if my heart was flayed open. The grief felt like an anvil pressing down on my chest. “It was too much pain to feel for my sweet dog,” I thought to myself. So I tried to grieve whenever my busy schedule allowed and then held it together … [Read more...]
The Power of Love
On my recent trip to Paris, I witnessed the eternal power of love not in the moonlit cobblestone streets, romantic outdoor cafes, or the sparkling Eiffel tower but in the collection of "locks of love" that adorn the Pont Des Arts bridge, one that connects the Louvre museum with the left bank. The love padlocks have taken off and this phenomenon is in countries such as Belgium, Germany, Japan and even on the Brooklyn bridge in New York City. This practice of attaching love locks to bridges all over the world symbolizes our universal yearning for continuous, consistent, and connected love. For those of you who haven't heard of them, a … [Read more...]
Love Connects Us All
"The supreme happiness of life consists in the conviction that one is loved" - Victor Hugo We all need to belong, to connect, to love and be loved. It is our divine nature for we are soul-wired for love and connection. The Sufi poet, Rumi beautifully expresses, "Love is the vital core of the soul. And of all you see, only love is infinite." Being and expressing love in spiritual connection with others is our divine legacy and why we are here. How many of us really know what we intend when we say, "I love you." Time and again, we look to the dictionary definition of love with its emphasis on romantic love for its meaning. We read about … [Read more...]
