At times, we may feel discouraged at the slowness with which we are realizing our dreams. When we feel this way, it is helpful to remember it’s always about divine timing not time. Divine timing occurs when we let go of fear and impatience, declare our intentions, and allow the universe to cocreate with us on it’s elevated timetable. During such synchronistic experiences, we are a conduit for spiritual information and can use it to tune in to the best possible choices. Guided by spirit, we will know what our next choice is and when to implement it.
On her way to my office, Karen was delayed by a series of events or co-incidents. She called and left a message saying that she would be late. Unbeknownst to her at the time, late would become timely. Trusting my intuitive sense to call her, I left this message, “Karen, take your time.” While I waited for her to arrive, I blessed and held the space for her to travel well and arrive safely. Thirty minutes later, she finally arrived visibly shaken.
As Karen left for her appointment, several people had stopped to talk with her, slowing her hurried pace. Driving in her car, she swore as she hit every traffic light and got behind every pokey driver. As the light turned green at a familiar intersection, she took a deep breath and paused before moving through the intersection. Little did she realize, this pause would save her life and the lives of many others. At this moment, she witnessed a black car speed through the intersection, hit a tree and careen into a car coming from the opposite direction. In her heightened state of awareness, Karen turned her car slowly and avoided by hit by the oncoming car. She parked and got out to assist the victims. She scanned the scene seeing the people emerging from their cars unscathed and knew it would have been a different scene had she been the one sideswiped by the speeding car.
As Karen moved through the series of events, she heeded the guidance of spirit, listened and slowed down. The pauses she took to tune in allowed her to access the information so that she would make clear and discerning choices. In these instances, we never know why we make a wrong turn, get behind a slow driver, stop, or pick up the phone and say to a friend something we have never said before. When we shift to a less hurried pace, we become more consciously aware, see what’s in front of us, and hear the whisper of spirit through our hearts. These are the spiritual signs that guide us through our lives so that we make the most discerning choices possible. Our heightened awareness is enhanced when we slow our pace, create enough space, and make ourselves available to inspired information.

Given my own experiences with divine timing I no longer even attempt to nudge the universe 🙂

It took me 15 years for my dream to come true but the reality was that it took me that long to be ready to embrace it and make it all it could be. If it had happened when I wanted it to, I doubt it would have worked out. Now I am older, wiser and happier!

What a powerful example of trusting our intuition Debra. My daughter and I got stuck in a high speed chase one time, it was surreal but that instinctive feeling to just slow down and not move also kept us safe as the speeding car followed by dozens of police cars flew around us. I can imagine how visibly shaken your friend was and am so glad she is okay.

This article is divine timing. I have had to step back from working so hard on my book and trust that all in is perfect alignment with my message and my soul. Time to relax, enjoy life and take the last steps to completion before publishing. I am more aware and not in such a rush, connecting with source more clearly…it’s divine!

Hello dear Debra!
Thanks so much for this excellent — and VERY timely — post! I have been struggling with the idea that “everything happens in the perfect time for the greatest good of all” even though it is one of my oft-used mantras.
Karen’s story was so poignant and truly helped me appreciate the lovely sentiment you expressed here: “These divine synchronous happenings show you that the universe is conspiring with you.”
Love that!! Thanks so much for sharing!! xxoo

There are so many wonderful pieces here, I don’t even know where to begin. I love “hear the whisper of spirit through our hearts.” I love that “the universe is conspiring with you.” I think the scary phase when we let go and trust can hold the most promise and opportunity. This was a beautiful perspective of how busy the Universe is taking care of us in ways we may never even know. Thank you for your wisdom, Debra!

Debra I love this story – it is a similar story I heard many years ago from a lady who was involved in a similar accident and unfortunately there was a fatality. Now if the lights are red or I am caught in traffic I take a deep breath and say to myself that I am in exactly the right place for where I am meant to be. This applies to all parts of my life – I am just where I am meant to be right now! THanks for sharing I am taking a deep breath right now. x

Amen. And this is often something we need to remind ourselves (at least I do!) when life seems NOT to be fitting together perfectly. Thank you for this loving reminder!
